Android 11 is here! The newest OS focuses on three themes: People, Controls, and Privacy.
People
Android 11 is people-centric and expressive, reimagining how conversations are done, and building an OS that can recognize and prioritize the most important people in our lives. For developers, Android 11 helps to build deeper conversational and personal interactions into apps with their new features: conversation notifications, bubbles, and consolidated keyboard suggestions.
Controls
Android 11 lets users quickly get to control all of their smart devices in one space. Developers can use the new APIs to help users surface smart devices and control media with device controls and media controls.
Privacy
In Android 11, users are given more control and transparency over sensitive permissions and working to keep devices more secure through faster updates. These updates cover; one-time permission, background location, scoped storage, Google Play system updates, and many others.
On top of that, Android 11 comes with polished and quality helpful innovations, which are developer-friendly where apps can be enhanced with new features and APIs.
As of now, Android 11 is coming to selected Pixel, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Realme phones, with more partners launching and upgrading devices over the coming months.
